Chair application process:
We will be taking applications for external chairs for positions in total (2) Chairs per committee, you can apply through a form which is now available below.
As well as providing us with necessary personal information etc. before the conference, the form will allow potential chairs to detail and expand upon their experience, skills, and interest in chairing a committee.
This will be followed by a short virtual interview via Zoom or Google Meet in line with the applicant’s availability. Filling in the application form will not guarantee you a place.

Chairs Criteria
Responsibilities:
- Moderate the debates alongside with your Co-Chair.
- Review the delegates position papers.
- Decide on the best delegates and distribute awards.
- Assist delegates with their questions regarding MUN´s, writing position papers and resolutions and the RoP.
- Review the delegates draft resolutions and give feedback on them.
Eligibility: :
- MUN experience required, preferably as staff or in academic roles, preferably after 2021.
- Strong Academic background or notable achievements are an advantage.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must have outstanding academic research, writing, editing, and analytical skills.
- Must demonstrate a strong track record in producing high-quality academic material in a timely manner.
- Must demonstrate a proven track record of success in dynamic, fast-paced working environments.
- Must possess high cultural sensitivity, and ability to work in international teams.
- Must be excellent in written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly proficient in written and spoken English and research and evaluation.
- Must be highly knowledgeable about and greatly interested in the topics to be discussed at SD-MUN.
- Be familiar with the rules of procedure
- Able to make decisions quickly.
- Leadership experience desired.
